Mural #36

Alex and Priscilla’s back yard

Perkasie, PA

Flowers #857 - #890 of 10,000

COMPLETED AUGUST 2020

There’s not a lot to this one…

So the central idea of the Ten Thousand Flowers Project is to get huge crowds of strangers together. Standing shoulder, laughing, creating art and having a great time. Sadly, 2020 was not the year for events like that. During the painting hiatus, my good friends Alex and Priscilla were kind enough to offer up their backyard for a low key flower mural! I met Alex and Priscilla about 7 years ago when they opened up Chimayo Gallery in Perkasie Pa. I’m probably biased but it’s definitely one of the coolest galleries/gift shops I’ve ever been lucky to be a part of.

Since opening shop, they have become an intigul part of Perkasie and the towns go-to place for unique gifts, big and small. If you haven't had a chance to stop in yet, I highly recommend it. They are two of the friendliest, most down to earth people I’ve had the pleasure of calling my friends.

Being some of the very first people to learn of my goal of painting 10,000 flowers around the country back in 2017 (wow time flies) they offered up their back gate for me to practice painting flowers on a larger scale. They’re store later donning the 2nd official TTFP mural.
